The nine screen synchronized video installation documents the clearance of a house unoccupied for forty years, sorting through objects, photographs, documents and more spanning the past century and four generations within the same family. The film focuses on a present-tense experience to explore the layers of memories, stored and saved, deteriorating and altering, repeating and reinventing, and the retrospective choices involved in packaging up the past with a perspective for the present. The piece ends as an archaelogical video "dig" while unpacking the contents of the boxes.
